PRE-ORDER PANSY SALE Take your mind off this summer’s heat and start planning for fall. The Garden Guild is gearing up for its annual Pansy Sale – our main fundraiser of the year. These hardy plants survived last winter’s snow in my yard and bloomed well into the spring. Pictures of the various selections and order blanks will be in the Cloister. Sale is by pre-order only and delivery will be in October. Look for details in the bulletin and the communiqué.
GARDEN PARTY The annual All Saints Garden Party was held on July 29 and this year we had the excitement of a severe thunderstorm just before party time. In spite of downed trees and power lines, most of us were able to gather for wine, good food and fellowship.
MINISTRY FAIR Why not start off the church year with a new activity? Join the Garden Guild and experience fall in the garden. Stop by our table at the Ministry Fair, meet some of the members and perhaps you’ll find your niche in our habitat.
MARKET DAY, OCTOBER 16 Attention Gardeners! Please start dividing your perennials and potting them for sale at the Garden Guild booth on Market Day. Get your neighbors to do the same. Those of you with brown thumbs instead of green can make bird houses, paint stepping stones – anything that can go in a garden.
